Vocalist Of Male Duo Impresses With His Smooth Voice On "The King Of Mask Singer"

On the March 10 broadcast of the show, contestants ‘Chang Young Sil” and “Newton” competed in the first round. Together, they harmonically sang TVXQ’s “Hug.”

The contestant “Newton” also danced to IZ*ONE’s “La Vie en Rose” at double speed with the IZ*ONE members Eunbi and Wonyoung themselves!

When the results came out, “Chang Young Sil” moved onto the next round with 17 more points while “Newton” had to take off his mask.

While singing Kim Sung Jae’s “As I Told You” (literal translation), he revealed himself to be JBJ95’s Kenta!

At an interview that followed, he explained that his goal was to successfully hide the fact that he is not Korean.

After the broadcast, he posted backstage photos on JBJ95’s Twitter account and wrote, “Did you watch ‘The King of Mask Singer’? Jjakkungs could recognize me just by hearing my voice, right? I didn’t make it [to the next round] this time, but I achieved my goal so ‘that’s all right!’ I worked hard while preparing for it so I hope you enjoy watching it.”
