A True Chameleon: BTS's Jimin's 10 Most Iconic Hair Colors
To say I spend more time than I probably should obsessing over idols’ hair colors and skincare routines would be… accurate. Is there really anything more exciting than having your favorite idols try a new shade on their hair? While some of them prefer to keep it simple and go for only a few colors throughout their career, others go all in and feed the masses with what they’re craving: the full color wheel. BTS’s Jimin would definitely be a part of the latter. Since BTS’s debut back in 2013, Jimin has tried so many different colors we can’t even count them all using both of our hands, and while we love every single one of them, we went through the very hard job of picking out only 10 of the most iconic ones. Here, for your viewing pleasure.
Silver Prince
Are we gonna talk about the prince vibes Jimin exudes when his hair goes silver? And I’m not talking blue prince vibes here, but rather I’m-the-cool-prince-you’ve-been-waiting-for vibes. A look we’re all secretly waiting for to make a comeback.
Fire Red
This is by far one of the most iconic shades Jimin has ever had. It’s definitely one for the books, and an eternal flashback to the “Dope” days. His powerful moves combined with his soft voice and scarlet hair definitely stole everyone’s attention whenever Jimin was on stage.
Deep Purple
It’s kinda surprising he tried this color for the first time just a few months ago. It’s just such a Jimin color, am I right? But the important thing is he did, and we’re blessed to have been able to witness it. Plus, with purple being BTS’s color, this shade is not only a great fit for his skin tone, but also a proof of his love for ARMY.
Pitch Black
Not gonna say that I’m one of those people who’s always expecting Jimin to go back to black, but that’s exactly what I’m saying. While he can pull off any and every shade from the color wheel, there’s something about Jimin’s insanely cute yet powerful duality that seems to be enhanced when his hair goes black. His pale skin and expressive eyes seem to get even more intense whenever his hair embraces its natural pigment, and we’re here for it.
Bubble Gum Pink
An iconic one here too. Jimin’s pink hair is a favorite for many people, and we definitely understand why. He’s declared himself that pink is one of his favorites too, so it wouldn’t be weird if we see him pulling off a bubble gum shade again very soon.
Turquoise-Blue-Silver
This is what I like to call a versatile shade. From some angles it looks blue, from others more like an intense faded green, and sometimes even just platinum. The way his hair was dyed here gave us an infinite amount of videos where Jimin seems to be showcasing one coloraturas first and then another one the very next second. It’s definitely a fun shade we hope we can see more of soon.
Intense Ginger
This shade surprised many people the very first time they saw it, but isn’t it just perfect for Jimin? Besides “Run” era being an icon itself, Jimin’s hair during it looked just perfect and became an icon too, even though it lasted just a couple months. While he hasn’t tried it again, we’re positive at some point we’ll be able to enjoy this playful shade afresh.
Platinum Blonde
Just WOW. This one is without a doubt one of the mass’s favorites because of how Jimin got to play with it. During “Blood Sweat & Tears” era, Jimin’s platinum locks were often accompanied by colored contacts, eyeliner, and fancy looks. A couple of years later, he went back to it for “DNA,” but this time rocking wavy, messy-hair-I-don’t-care vibes and colorful outfits. A true multi-faceted shade for a multi-talented guy.
Sweet Brown
Simple, yet such a great fit. Because of his eyes and skin color, Jimin pulls off brown hair like no other. His sweet features seem to be enhanced by the power of brown, while his outfits and makeup turn a little more mature and mysterious when he’s rocking this shade.
Rose Gold
While this one didn’t last long, it’s definitely one we can’t wait for Jimin to bring back. Another multifaceted shade with the capacity to be many colors in one, this one was a teaser for the bubblegum pink shade we were about to see on “Spring Day.”
All these colors got us in the mood to dye our own hair now. What’s your favorite from the list, Soompiers? Let us know in the comments!
