Kang Ki Young To Join Ong Seong Wu And Kim Hyang Gi In Upcoming Drama
Kang Ki Young will be appearing alongside Ong Seong Wu and Kim Hyang Gi in upcoming JTBC drama “18 Moments” (literal title).
“18 Moments” is a coming-of-age drama that takes a realistic look into the precarious and inexperienced worlds of 18-year-olds.
Ong Seong Wu and Kim Hyang Gi have been cast as the leads for the drama. Other stars to appear include Shin Seung Ho an and ASTRO’s Moonbin.
Kang Ki Young will be playing Oh Han Kyul, the homeroom teacher of Choi Joon Woo (played by Ong Seong Wu). Though he is an inexperienced and irresponsible teacher, he interacts with his students and grows into a real teacher. He connects Choi Joon Woo, a lonely transfer student, to the rest of the world.
The actor shared, “Every time I do a new project, I feel and learn a lot. I am thankful that I got to meet a character with another kind of texture. Oh Han Kyul is a character that grows alongside the students as he communicates and shares feelings with them. I think this will be another kind of challenge. I will do my best in acting so that ’18 Moments’ shines brightly with viewers.”
“18 Moments” will be directed by Shim Na Yeon, who directed “Hip Hop Teacher” and “One Summer’s Memories.” The drama will be written by Yoon Kyung Ah, who previously wrote “Master of Study,” “Brain,” and “Perfect Wife.”
