YG To Take Legal Action Regarding Malicious Rumors About Female Artist

YG Entertainment is the next agency to step up in protection of a female celebrity.

On March 13, the company released the following statement:

This is YG Entertainment.

As it has already been revealed via several reports, the rumors that were circulated online recently regarding our female artist are completely false and are malicious rumors.

The rumors were initially considered not even worth responding to, but her name is still being brought up. As a result, we will take firm legal action according to civil and criminal law against the initial person who posted the rumors as well as those who spread and circulated them.

In connection with recent news about a chatroom between male celebrities and other men sharing illegal hidden camera footage, false rumors regarding the victims were brought up via online communities. The rumors were denied by media outlets that are investigating the case, and agencies of celebrities including TWICE, Lee Chung Ah, Jung Yu Mi, and Oh Yeon Seo have already announced legal action in response to the false rumors.
