"Kingdom" Production Staff Member Passes Away

A production staff member of Netflix’s “Kingdom” has passed away.

On March 13, it was announced that Mr. Lee, a staff member in charge of props on set of the second season of “Kingdom,” passed away after a car accident on March 12. He had been driving one of the props cars.

The show issued an official statement where they stated, “After hearing the unfortunate news about one of the production staff members, we are all grieving with heavy hearts. We offer our deepest condolences to the deceased and his family members.”

According to the staff, Mr. Lee had recently joined the set of the second season of “Kingdom” as its youngest staff member. He had been on his way to the filming site in PyeongChang, which was scheduled for March 13, before the accident.

Mr. Lee’s wake was held at a funeral hall in Namyangju.
