NU'EST Reveals The Story Behind Their New Song And How They Rewrote The Lyrics

NU’EST revealed the story behind their upcoming release, “Song Title.”

During a V Live broadcast on March 15, Baekho first explained that “Song Title” is, just as it seems, a song that has not been given a title. “It’s our gift [to fans] in celebration of our seventh anniversary (March 15). The reason that we can all be together is our fans. We wanted to express that in our song: that the beginning is empty, and that we’re asking our fans to fill it in for us.”

Baekho continued, “This song is actually a b-side that had been written before we released our album ‘Q is.’ At the time, we had visited Bumzu hyung‘s studio to work on our album. We heard this song and liked it so much that we asked him to give it to us.” Baekho said the group had finished recording it back then, but ended up going with a different song.

When NU’EST got together recently to work on a comeback, they brought the song out and started working on it again. “We rewrote the lyrics for it,” said JR and Baekho. “We each wrote letters to fans, and used the contents of the letters for our lyrics. It’s a song that we all made together.”
