Girl Group Member Captivates With Performances Perfect For Spring On "The King Of Mask Singer"

A talented girl group member took to the “The King of Mask Singer” stage!

On the March 17 broadcast, contestants Spring Rain and Spring Flowers faced off in the first round. Together, they performed a sweet rendition of IU’s “Friday” and charmed the audience.

Spring Rain moved onto the next round with 60 votes to Spring Flowers’s 39 votes. While singing LYn’s “We Used to Love,” Spring Flowers revealed that she is fromis_9’s Jang Gyuri!

Referring to panelist Kim Hyung Chul’s unique comment that her voice felt like it “was not greasy at all,” Jang Gyuri expressed, “I liked the comparison to an air fryer. I’m very pleased because I think I was able to show that you can make ‘tasty’ songs even if they aren’t indulgently rich.”

“All the [other fromis_9 members] figured it out, that I was coming on the show,” Jang Gyuri revealed. “They made me promise before I left that I would at least pass the first round, and that I would make sure my hair wasn’t flat when I took off my mask.” Addressing her groupmates directly, she added, “I wasn’t able to keep one of them, sorry!”

The idol also shared more photos on Twitter, saying that she hoped her fans would enjoy the rest of Sunday and would have a good start to the week.
