Jung Joon Young Completes 2nd Round Of Questioning + Police To Request Arrest Warrant

The police have decided to request an arrest warrant for Jung Joon Young for violating the act on Special Cases concerning the Punishment, etc. of Sexual Violence Crimes.

On March 18, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency’s Provincial Special Detective Division revealed that they summoned Jung Joon Young for a second round of questioning the night before. The singer’s first round of questioning took place on March 14, where he was questioned for 21 hours regarding charges of filming and circulating illegal hidden camera footage.

The police also announced their plans to request a warrant to arrest Jung Joon Young. They came to the decision within six days of booking the singer on charges of spreading hidden camera footage and photos. However, the police do not have plans to issue a warrant for Seungri yet.

Jung Joon Young is currently under investigation for filming and sharing hidden camera footage and photos of sexual acts in chatrooms that include various male celebrities, CEOs, and non-celebrity friends. In the chatrooms, the participants allegedly solicited prostitution, shared hidden camera footage, talked about bribing high-rank police officers, and more.

Other allegations made against Jung Joon Young include the singer receiving prostitution services as a gift from former Yuri Holdings CEO Yoo In Suk and using his ties to the police to get rid of the key evidence to his 2016 case against his ex-girlfriend. It was further reported that Jung Joon Young had been the target of an investigation from the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency about hidden camera footage in November 2018.
