Ahn So Hee And Lee Yi Kyung Portray Realistic Friendship In "Welcome To Waikiki 2"

JTBC’s upcoming drama “Welcome to Waikiki 2” has released new stills featuring Lee Yi Kyung and Ahn So Hee!

The second season of “Welcome to Waikiki” will tell the stories of three young men living in a guest house called “Waikiki” as they take on the challenges found in friendship, love, and dreams.

Lee Yi Kyung returns to the second season as Lee Joon Gi to persuade his high school friends Cha Woo Shik (Kim Seon Ho) and Kook Ki Bong (Shin Hyun Soo) to join him in running the guest house. Ahn So Hee will play the role of Kim Jung Eun, a close friend of Lee Joon Gi and a former aspiring actress who will accept any job she can get her hands on to support herself financially.

In the newly released stills, Ahn So Hee and Lee Yi Kyung show off great chemistry as if they have been friends for a long time in real life. The two are incapable of looking at each other lovingly as they sit as far away from each other as possible on a couch.

They almost pick up a fight, but the last photo shows that they soon realize it’s not worth it. While they spent their college years both dreaming of becoming successful actors, after encountering the brutal reality, Kim Jung Eun gives up while Lee Joon Gi still keeps on dreaming by auditioning for even the smallest roles he can find.

The production team said, “Joon Gi and Jung Eun start to walk completely different paths as they face the harsh reality. It will be fun for viewers to witness the growth of the two who seem similar yet different.”

“Welcome to Waikiki 2” will premiere on March 25 at 9:30 p.m. KST and will also be available on Viki with English subtitles!
