JOO Announces Upcoming Marriage

JOO is tying the knot this spring!

On March 26, Woollim Entertainment announced that the singer, who is also well-known as the older sister of BTOB’s Ilhoon, will be getting married this May to her non-celebrity boyfriend of one year.

The agency officially stated, “JOO will be getting married on May 4 at an undisclosed location in Seoul. The bridegroom is a non-celebrity who is the same age [as JOO], and the two met through a close female friend of JOO’s one year ago. As soon as they began dating, they brought up the topic of marriage, and their relationship has smoothly led to the beautiful result of marriage.”

Woollim Entertainment added, “Because the groom is a non-celebrity, the wedding will be held privately, with only the couple’s parents, friends, and family in attendance.”

The agency also apologized for announcing the news so suddenly, explaining that the wedding had been planned quietly out of respect for JOO’s non-celebrity fiancé and asking fans for their “generous understanding.”

Finally, Woollim Entertainment concluded, “We ask that you give your warm blessings for the future of JOO, who is preparing to make a fresh start.”
