Park Ji Hoon Shares Thoughts On Solo Debut And Working With Lee Dae Hwi On Track
Park Ji Hoon has officially made his solo debut!
On March 26, the idol held a showcase for his first mini album “O’CLOCK” at the Sangmyung Art Center in Seoul. The six tracks in Park Ji Hoon’s album explore the topic of love and showcase his various talents.
About debuting as a solo artist four months after ending promotions with Wanna One, Park Ji Hoon said, “Since it was important, I thought that it needed to be good. So I worked hard as I recorded for a long time with the songwriter, and I think that’s why a better song was created.”
He added, “When I was filming the music video for the title track ‘L.O.V.E,’ I researched a lot in order film a perfect scene. I put more thought into it than usual.”
“L.O.V.E” is a future R&B track with a refreshing energy that’s about the sincere love confession of an innocent man who is looking back on beautiful memories. This album also includes the b-side “Young 20” which was written by and produced by Lee Dae Hwi.
“Songwriter Lee Dae Hwi has a definite style,” said Park Ji Hoon. “The feeling that he’s thinking about and the feeling when I sing have to be the same. Lee Dae Hwi gave me a really good song, so I worked on it happily too. I wrote the lyrics.”
About setting out on his own, he stated, “I wanted to hurry up and meet my fans. I didn’t even have time to worry,” and gave his own album a score of nine out of 10.
