Cha Ye Ryun Confirms Casting In Shin Sung Rok's New Drama "Perfume"

Cha Ye Ryun will be making her return to the small screen with “Perfume.”

On April 4, the actress’s agency, HB Entertainment, confirmed that Cha Ye Ryun had been cast in a leading role in KBS’s upcoming drama “Perfume.”

In the drama, Cha Ye Ryun will be playing Shin Sung Rok’s ex-girlfriend, Han Ji Na. Go Jun Hee turned down the role of the female lead and currently Go Won Hee is in talks for that role.

“Perfume” is a fantasy romance about a middle-aged woman who recovers her beautiful, youthful appearance with the help of magic perfume, and a neurotic man who is too afraid to fall in love (Shin Sung Rok).

This will be Cha Ye Ryun’s first drama in three years after the MBC drama “Glamorous Temptation.” It is also her first major project after giving birth to her daughter last year.

“Perfume” is expected to air sometime in June.
