Mystic Entertainment has responded to new reports about singer Eddy Kim.
On April 4, MBC’s “Newsdesk” reported that Eddy Kim was a member of a group chatroom in which Jung Joon Young shared illegally filmed footage of sexual activity. According to the report, the group chatroom in question included a total of 9 singers—Seungri, Jung Joon Young, Roy Kim, Kangin, Lee Jong Hyun, Yong Junhyung, Jeong Jinwoon, Choi Jong Hoon, and Eddy Kim—as well as model Lee Chul Woo.
In response, Eddy Kim’s agency Mystic Entertainment told various news outlets, “We just saw the report that Eddy Kim was a member of Jung Joon Young’s group chat, and we are currently in the process of checking [with him].”
Earlier that day, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency announced that Roy Kim had been booked on charges of spreading illegally filmed footage, clarifying that Jeong Jinwoon, Kangin, Lee Jong Hyun, Yong Junhyung, and Lee Chul Woo were still considered witnesses and not suspects. Although the police have called in Lee Jong Hyun and Yong Junhyung for questioning as witnesses, they reported that they do not currently have plans to similarly call in Jeong Jinwoon, Kangin, or Lee Chul Woo for questioning in the near future.
