Block B's U-Kwon Talks About Deciding To Go Public With His Relationship After Sunye's Wedding News

U-Kwon, who is currently promoting as a part of Block B unit BASTARZ, talked about his girlfriend.

He recently made a guest appearance alongside Kim Yoon Ah, Gummy, and P.O. on the April 4 episode of tvN’s “Life Bar.”

Super Junior’s Kim Heechul, one of the MCs, asked U-Kwon, “As a fellow idol, it’s a cautious topic, but how long have you been in a public relationship?” U-Kwon answered, “Eight years. Before I revealed it, a few sasaeng fans knew about it.”

U-Kwon added, “Coincidentally, at that time Sunye’s wedding news came out. I thought, ‘The time is now,’ and uploaded a picture of myself on a date with my girlfriend on our fan cafe. I said, ‘I don’t want to hide and date, and since it’s a beautiful love, I hope that you can support us.'”

He also shared an event he had prepared for his girlfriend. He explained, “When it was the 100th day of our relationship, my girlfriend told me, ‘Can you appear in a red suit with red shoes holding red roses,’ but there aren’t a lot of people who have red suits. Luckily, [there was a red suit] among one of our stage outfits. I borrowed it from our stylist and wore red sneakers with it, and headed to my girlfriend’s house. She smiled really brightly. That was when she was 20 years old.”
