BLACKPINK's "Kill This Love" Takes No. 1 On Many Major Realtime Charts
BLACKPINK’s “Kill This Love” has topped four out of seven major realtime charts in Korea!
The group’s new mini album of the same name was released on April 5 at midnight around the world. Due to the rules of many of Korea’s major realtime charts following reform in 2017, tracks released at midnight only enter most charts after 1 p.m. KST that day.
By April 6 at 1:34 a.m. KST, BLACKPINK’s title track “Kill This Love” had reached No. 1 on the realtime charts of major charts Bugs, Mnet, Naver, and Soribada. It took No. 2 on Korea’s largest music site Melon as well as Genie and No. 3 on Flo.
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK’s “Kill This Love” became the first song by a K-pop girl group to reach No. 1 on the iTunes Top Songs chart in the United States, and it also reigned over charts in many other countries around the world.
Congratulations to BLACKPINK!
