More Celebrities Donate In Aid Of Victims Of Gangwon Province Wildfire
More celebrities’ contributions in aid of the victims of the wildfire in Gangwon Province have come to light.
The Gangwon Province wildfire began in Goseong County on the evening of April 4 and soon spread to Sokcho. On April 5, a state of disaster was declared for Goseong County, Inje County, and the cities of Sokcho, Gangneung, and Donghae in Gangwon Province. The fire has caused extensive property damage and power outages, and as of April 5, it was reported that one person had died and 11 people have been injured.
According to the Hope Bridge Disaster Relief Association on April 6, PSY donated 100 million won (about $87,900) to the victims of the fire. Lee Byung Hun and Lee Min Jung donated the same amount as a couple.
Actress Kim Seo Hyung from “SKY Castle” also donated 10 million won (about $8800). Her hometown is in Gangneung, Gangwon Province.
Actress So Yoo Jin donated 50 million won (about $43,900), actor Jung Kyung Ho donated 10 million won, and Im Siwan donated 20 million won (about $17,500).
Jo Jung Suk and Gummy donated 30 million won (about $26,400) as a couple, and actor Jung Hae In donated the same amount. Comedian Yoo Byung Jae donated 1 million won with his manager (about $900).
Other celebrities who have made donations include Koyote (30 million won), ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo (10 million won), WINNER’s Kim Jin Woo (10 million won), actress Kim So Hyun (10 million won), actress Chun Woo Hee (10 million won), Narsha (10 million won), and Simon Dominic (30 million won).
Highlight’s Yoon Doojoon and CNBLUE’s Kang Min Hyuk, who are currently completing their mandatory military service, also donated to the relief effort. Yoon Doojoon donated 20 million won and Kang Min Hyuk donated 10 million won.
Kim Woo Bin, Park Soo Ah (formerly known as Lizzy), Japanese model Yano Shiho, comedienne Kim Ji Min, as well as former baseball players have also contributed to the relief effort.
