More Celebrities Make Donations In Support Of Gangwon Wildfire's Victims
More celebrities have made generous donations to help the victims of the wildfire in Gangwon Province.
On April 4 at approximately 7 p.m. KST, a fire broke out near Ilsung Resort in Goseong County that soon spread to downtown Sokcho. The following day, the Korean government declared a state of disaster in areas of Gangwon Province after the fire destroyed around 250 hectares (approximately 618 acres) of forest and burned down 125 homes. It was further reported that one person died and 11 people have been injured.
According to the Hope Bridge Disaster Relief Association on April 8, Suzy donated 100 million won (approximately $87,491) to the victims of the fire. Yoo Jae Suk and So Yoo Jin also made a generous donation of 50 million won (approximately $43,745), each.
Park Shin Hye and Han Hye Jin also respectively donated 30 million won (approximately $26,242). Gray also made a donation of the same amount and wrote on his Instagram, “I hope this helps those who were affected by the wildfire even if it’s just a little bit. I pray that there will be no greater damage.”
CNBLUE’s Jung Yong Hwa, who is currently serving in the military and set to be discharged in November, also made a donation of 20 million won (approximately $17,494). Other celebrities who also donated 20 million won include Park Na Rae, Jung Hyung Don, Seo Hyun Jin, Kwanghee, Han Hyo Joo, and Kang So Ra.
iKON’s Chanwoo and Jinhwan each donated 10 million won (approximately $8,748). Actress Yoon Se Ah and Ong Seong Woo also donated the same amount.
