Microdot's Mother To Reportedly Return To Korea And Likely To Be Arrested Upon Arrival

Microdot’s mother, who was accused along with her husband of committing fraud against 10 different friends, relatives, and neighbors in the late 1990s, is reportedly returning to Korea.

On April 8, news outlet Sports Kyunghyang reported that Microdot’s mother will be returning to Korea on April 8 at around 7:30 p.m. KST. It is suspected that she will be arrested by the police upon her arrival.

In November 2018, allegations were made against Microdot’s parents of borrowing several hundred million won (100 million won is approximately $87,264) in 1998 and then leaving the country and failing to pay back the money.

While Microdot denied the allegations at first, when testimonies from various victims continued to come up, he released an official apology and halted his entertainment activities.

The police also requested that Interpol issue a Red Notice for Microdot’s parents, who are currently residing in New Zealand, and the request was approved on December 13. Afterwards, Microdot’s parents appointed a lawyer and have reportedly attempted to reach a settlement with some of the victims.

The police previously mentioned that Microdot’s parents will be arrested upon their arrivals in Korea because their arrest warrants were renewed three years ago and are therefore still valid.
