"Show Me The Money 8" Starts Recruiting Contestants For New Season
Mnet’s “Show Me the Money 8” is looking for the hottest rappers in the scene!
On April 7, Mnet released details about its application process. Contestants need to submit two recorded clips and an application form. The clips should be no more than a minute long with one clip showing the contestant rapping with beats and the other clip without beats. Both clips need to be recorded live, show the rapper’s face, and can have the same lyrics. Contestants can apply through the show’s official website or on Instagram by adding official hashtags.
Mnet also released a clip of a rap battle between last season’s winner Nafla and runner-up Loopy. Nafla showcased his strong vocalization and rap skills while Loopy completed his unique rap with a laidback flow.
A source from the show said, “‘Show Me the Money’ has existed for a long time and will completely change in 2019 through season eight. We’re preparing a lot to reflect the fast-changing hip hop scene, show the most charming aspects of the genre of rap, and maximize the thrill of a survival format.”
The application process for “Show Me the Money 8” runs from April 4 to May 3. Check out Nafla and Loopy’s rap battle below!
