BLACKPINK's "Kill This Love" Sets New Records With Hot 100 And Billboard 200 Debuts
April 15, Billboard reported that BLACKPINK’s “Kill This Love” made its Hot 100 debut at No. 41, the highest Hot 100 position held in K-pop girl group history. BLACKPINK broke their own record with “DDU-DU DDU-DU,” which made its debut at No. 55 on the chart in June 2018.
The “Kill This Love” EP also set a record with its Billboard 200 debut at No. 24, making it the highest-charting album from a K-pop girl group.
BLACKPINK took top spots in a variety of other charts as well.
“Kill This Love” entered at No. 1 on the World Albums chart, becoming the group’s second release to do so after their “Square Up” EP in June 2018.
The EP set the K-pop girl group record for highest position on the Top Album Sales chart, entering at No. 10, and “Kill This Love” entered the World Digital Song Sales chart at No. 1, one of six total BLACKPINK songs on the chart.
