Watch: BTS On Working With Halsey And Ed Sheeran, Their Ideal Future Collabs, And More
BTS celebrated the successful release of their hit album, “Map of the Soul: Persona,” with an interview on Apple Music’s Beats 1 radio!
The BJ introduced the group as “the biggest band in the world” and got right into the questions, asking the members how they came to work with Halsey on their title song “Boy With Luv,” which continues to smash records across multiple platforms. RM detailed how they first met backstage at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards, where Halsey told the group she became a fan through watching their music videos.
“She came to Korea last year, and we met again. We talked about [how] we should collaborate, we should work [on] something. We had this track for this album and thought that Halsey would be the best voice for this track, so it happened,” RM said.
When asked about who their dream collaboration would be with, the members replied with big names such as Drake, Billie Eilish, and Troye Sivan. RM complimented Billie Eilish’s newly released album, saying, “It’s huge! Everyone should listen to it.”
BTS also showed love for Ed Sheeran, who composed the song “Make It Right” for the idols. “We couldn’t believe it,” RM recounted when Ed Sheeran offered to gift a song to the group after posting about BTS’s music on Instagram. “It’s like a drama,” he added.
