A source from the police has responded to a Channel A report regarding Park Yoochun in which another video was described.

On April 17, Channel A reported that the police have obtained a video that appears to show Park Yoochun and Hwang Ha Na taking drugs together.

A source from the investigation team of the Gyeonggi Nambu Provincial Police Agency stated to Hankook Ilbo, “It is not true that a video of Hwang Ha Na and Park Yoochun taking drugs has been obtained.” They added, “The report is groundless.”

In regards to MBC’s report (see original article below) on the CCTV footage of Park Yoochun allegedly purchasing drugs as well as the analysis of details of phone calls, the source stated that they are currently not able to confirm the report. Hankook Ilbo noted that the source’s response in regards to the report about footage of Park Yoochun purchasing drugs was quite different than the source’s definite denial of allegedly obtaining a video of Hwang Ha Na and Park Yoochun appearing to take drugs.

On the April 17 broadcast of MBC’s “Newsdesk,” it was reported that police secured CCTV footage of Park Yoochun purchasing drugs.

According to MBC, police found evidence of Park Yoochun purchasing the drugs using the so-called “throwing method.” This is a method in which the buyer wires money to the drug dealer’s bank account and the drug dealer hides the drugs in a designated location for the buyer to find. Through this procedure, the buyer and the drug dealer do not meet face-to-face.

It was reported that CCTV footage of Park Yoochun paying for the drugs through a wire transfer, arriving at the location where the drugs were hidden, and retrieving the drugs was found.

Based on Hwang Ha Na’s previous testimony, the police have been collecting on-site evidence of Park Yoochun’s purchase of drugs.

Police have also confirmed that they have already obtained and analyzed the details of phone calls from the day of the drug transaction.

It was also reported that Park Yoochun arrived at the police station for questioning on April 17 after removing most of the hair on his body. Because the leftover substance of drugs in the hair of the head disappears through frequent dyeing, police usually test a person’s body hair.

Although police suspect he did this to tamper with evidence, Park Yoochun’s representatives explained, “He usually waxes in preparation for concert schedules.”
