"Burning" Star Jeon Jong Seo In Talks To Star In Hollywood Film Opposite Kate Hudson

Jeon Jong Seo may be starring in the upcoming Hollywood movie “Blood Moon”!

On April 19, the actress’s agency MY Company confirmed that she was in talks for the leading role in “Blood Moon,” a new fantasy film directed by Ana Lily Amirpour.

A representative of the agency stated, “We are in the midst of seriously discussing [the possibility of Jeon Jong Seo appearing in the film]. Nothing has yet been confirmed.”

“Blood Moon,” which was reportedly inspired by fantasy-adventure films from the 1980s and 1990s, will tell the story of a girl with mysterious and dangerous abilities who escapes from a mental asylum. Jeon Jong Seo, who rose to fame last year through her starring turn in acclaimed director Lee Chang Dong’s award-winning film “Burning,” is in talks to play the leading role known only as “the Lunatic.”

Hollywood actress Kate Hudson is currently set to appear in the film as a stripper who, together with her young son, ends up crossing paths with “the Lunatic.”

Meanwhile, Jeon Jong Seo recently wrapped up filming for her second movie “The Call,” which is scheduled for a premiere sometime in 2019.
