BoA Purchases More Shares In SM Entertainment
BoA has purchased more shares in SM Entertainment.
On April 22, SM Entertainment announced that BoA purchased 7000 stocks from the company by exercising her employee stock option. Her shares in the company increased from 0.01 percent to 0.04 percent.
Her exercise price was 23,251 won (approximately $20.40), and the closing price that day was 41,450 (approximately $36.36), meaning BoA obtained 127 million won (approximately $111,400) in marginal profits.
BoA was given the stock option when she was appointed as the company’s creative director in 2014.
According to the Financial Supervisory Service’s Data Analysis, Retrieval, and Transfer System, BoA owned 680 stocks at the time she was appointed as director. Last April, she exercised her stock option at a price of 35,587 won (approximately $31.22) and bought 10,000 stocks. In September and November of the same year, she sold 9000 stocks and 500 stocks, respectively.
Meanwhile, BoA released her new Japanese single “Sukidayo -MY LOVE-/AMOR” in March.
