BTS Becomes 1st Korean Artist To Spend 2 Weeks In A Row In Top 10 Of UK's Official Albums Chart
BTS’s new mini album “Map of the Soul: Persona” continues to rank in the top 10 of the United Kingdom’s Official Albums Chart!
On the chart for the week starting on April 26, “Map of the Soul: Persona” comes in No. 7 following its debut at No. 1 last week.
BTS remains the only Korean artist to have charted in the Top 10 of the United Kingdom’s Official Albums Chart, after they first did so with their album “Love Yourself: Tear” in 2018. BTS became the first Korean artist to enter the Top 100 chart in the United Kingdom with “WINGS” back in 2016.
Meanwhile, BTS’s title track “Boy With Luv” featuring Halsey is spending its second week in the Top 40 of the United Kingdom’s Official Singles Chart. “Boy With Luv” takes the No. 29 spot in this week’s chart after the song made its debut on the chart last week at No. 13.
This is the highest second week ranking ever for a track by BTS on the chart. Their previous track “IDOL” spent its first week on the chart at No. 21 and second week at No. 73, with three weeks on the chart in total.
The only other Korean artists who have charted on the Official Singles Chart Top 100 are PSY (who took No. 1 with “Gangnam Style” in 2012) and BLACKPINK.
Congratulations to BTS!
