Chungha Opens Up About Her Trainee Days And Talks About Meeting Up With I.O.I
Chungha shared the difficulties she faced as a trainee and her methods for relieving stress on Olive’s “Everyone’s Kitchen.”
On the April 28 episode, Chungha swapped her dancing shoes for a chef’s hat and made a special dish that combined Korean spicy rice cakes with spicy chicken stew.
While cooking, she conversed with Kwanghee, a fellow idol. He asked her what the most difficult time for her was during her trainee days. She replied, “The times I tortured myself with hopes were most difficult. I would think, ‘If I do well on this month’s evaluations, I may debut sooner.’ Every day was the same. It was hard and scary not knowing when I might be cut.”
When asked how she relieves her stress during difficult times, she said, “Before I get too lonely, I ask my friends what they’re doing and meet up.”
She said she was particularly close to the I.O.I members, adding, “I actually hung out with them yesterday. I told them I was coming on ‘Everyone’s Kitchen’ and they were shocked. They said, ‘You’re going to cook?’ I told them if the response to my dish was good, I would make it for them. So the response today has to be good.”
