"Different Dreams" Wraps Up Filming + Cast Share Thoughts Ahead Of Drama's Premiere

Upcoming pre-produced drama “Different Dreams” has concluded all filming.

“Different Dreams” is set in the time period in which Japan held colonial rule over Korea. It follows Lee Young Jin (played by Lee Yo Won), a Korean doctor who grew up in Japan, and secret organization Heroic Cops leader Kim Won Bong (played by Yoo Ji Tae). As a pre-produced drama, it began preparations for production in July 2017 and continued production for one year and 10 months until it wrapped up filming on April 28, 2019.

Lee Yo Won shared, “I’m thankful for the hard work of all the staff, production crew, other related parties, and actors. It’s my first time filming a pre-produced drama, so I’m excited in a new way. We worked hard on filming the drama, so I hope [viewers] will look forward to it and enjoy watching it.”

Yoo Ji Tae remarked, “I can’t believe it’s our last shoot. It was a very memorable set, and I don’t think I’ll forget it in the future. The staff, actors, director, writer, and everyone else did their best to film with sincerity. I hope you will feel the sacrificing mentality of the independence activists’ once again through this drama. Please tune in.”

Im Joo Hwan commented, “I’m nervous and excited thinking that ‘Different Dreams’ will soon be shown to viewers. As many staff members and actors poured their sweat and effort into the drama, I believe viewers will think ‘It wasn’t a waste of time.'”

Nam Gyu Ri shared, “It was an honor to participate in the meaningful ‘Different Dreams.’ I was so happy to have acted as Miki for the past six months, and I received a lot of love on set. Miki is a character with many charms. I hope that [viewers] see her as a lovely scene stealer. Please watch ‘Different Dreams’ and give it lots of love.”

The production staff stated, “We concluded filming on April 28. We would like to thank the actors and staff who did their best for the past six months from the first shoot last November. We are working hard on the post-production editing to show viewers a high quality drama. We will bring forth a satisfying and high level of completion. Please look forward to it.”

“Different Dreams” is directed by Yoon Sang Ho, who previously directed “Saimdang, Light’s Diary” and “The Legend.” It will be written by Jo Kyu Won, who previously wrote the “IRIS” series.

The drama will air its first episode on May 4 at 9:05 p.m. KST and will be available on Viki!
