Kim Jaekyung Opens Up About Her Career After Rainbow And Starring In "The Secret Life Of My Secretary"

Kim Jaekyung talked about her latest role in “The Secret Life of My Secretary” and her future plans in an interview with The Star!

Regarding her new drama, the idol-turned-actress said, “As soon as I read the script, I felt like my stress was melting away and I was being healed. I always wanted to do a romantic comedy, and luckily the role of Veronica Park came in.” She talked about what it’s like on set, saying, “My costars are all around the same age as me, so we have a lot of fun filming. The director has even told us to stop making a ruckus.”

She also discussed her path as an actress after promoting with Rainbow. “You can’t go into acting without studying yourself. I realized that if I myself am not living well, then I cannot portray my roles well.”

When asked what has changed in the 10 years since her debut, she replied, “My values have changed. I used to be a very forward-looking person. Now, I’m more focused on the present.” As for her goals as an actress, she said, “I want to become an actress that has no fear. I want to work hard and challenge myself.”

Finally, she said, “I’d like to become a person that is like a rainbow, who can give anybody watching a sense of happiness.”
