Update: INFINITE's Dongwoo Receives Official Military Assignment

Dongwoo has received his official military assignment!

Dongwoo recently attended the new recruit ceremony at the 6th Infantry Division located in Cheorwon, Gangwon Province. He will carry out his military duties there as he has completed five weeks of basic training.

INFINITE’s official Twitter account shared photos of Dongwoo recently with the caption, “Private Jang Dong Woo! He is greeting INSPIRITs after his new recruit ceremony! Though it’s been a while, he still has his bright smile, which made us even more glad to see him and a little tearful. Dongwoo is doing well, so INSPIRITS should also be healthy and do well. Promise~”

Dongwoo enlisted as an active duty soldier on April 15 and is set to be discharged by the end of 2020.

INFINITE’s Sungyeol and Dongwoo will now begin their official military assignments!

On May 2, several industry representatives stated that Sungyeol has been assigned to serve at the 37th Infantry Division located in Jeungpyeong County of North Chungcheong Province, and Dongwoo will reportedly begin his service as an active duty soldier at the 6th Infantry Division located in Cheorwon, Gangwon Province.

Sungyeol enlisted in the military on March 26 and Dongwoo on April 15 as the second and third INFINITE members to fulfill their mandatory military duties following their leader Sunggyu.

Sungyeol completed his basic military training on May 1, after which he took to Twitter and shared that he is now a private. Dongwoo will also complete his basic training sometime in May.
