BTS's "Map Of The Soul: Persona" Achieves Record-Breaking Week On UK's Official Charts
BTS’s “Map of the Soul: Persona” and title track “Boy With Luv” featuring Halsey are continuing to rank high on the United Kingdom’s Official Charts!
On the Official Albums Chart for the week starting on May 3, BTS’s mini album “Map of the Soul: Persona” takes the No. 11 spot. This is its third week on the chart, and it previously charted at No. 1 and No. 7.
BTS is not only the first Korean artist to chart in the Top 20 of the Official Albums Chart in the United Kingdom, they’re now the only Korean artist to do so three weeks in a row!
Over on the Official Singles Chart, “Boy With Luv” featuring Halsey grabs No. 29. This is the same position the track took last week, and in its first week it debuted at No. 13.
No. 29 is the highest third week ranking ever for a track by BTS on the chart! “IDOL,” BTS’s latest title track before this, spent its first week on the chart at No. 21, second week at No. 73, and third and final week at No. 84.
“Boy With Luv” is now the only track by a Korean group to spend three weeks in the famed “Top 40” of the United Kingdom’s Official Singles Chart. Taking a spot in the “Top 40” of a music chart is regarded as an important event within the music industry, following the history of radio formats where the “Top 40” songs were played frequently as they were the most popular songs at the current time.
Congratulations to BTS!
