'Produce X 101' Premiere Takes Over Realtime Search Rankings + Gets Off To A Good Start In Ratings

Viewers continue to show a lot of interest in the “Produce” series!

The fourth season of the show, “Produce X 101,” made its premiere on May 3 and introduced some changes to the format of the show. The trainees then performed in order to receive their grade rankings (A, B, C, D, and X).

The first episode received ratings of 1.45 percent, which is higher than the ratings for the previous season (“Produce 48”). The show also took first place in its time slot among the target audiences of 15 to 39 year olds and 20 to 49 year olds.

“Produce X 101” was also the first season to broadcast live all over the world at the same time. The YouTube and Naver V Live broadcasts, which were available everywhere except South Korea and 12 other Asian countries, recorded 400,000 realtime views.

On Naver, South Korea’s popular portal site, most of the top twenty realtime search rankings were related to “Produce X 101.” While a high volume of searches by 10-20 year olds was expected, there were also a large number of searches done by 30-50 year olds and beyond. For the searches done by 10-20 year olds, all twenty of the top realtime search rankings were related to “Produce X 101.” Of the trainees, Kim Min Kyu, Park Sun Ho, Kim Yo Han, Song Yu Vin, and Nam Do Hyon were popular search terms.

“Produce X 101” airs every Friday at 11 p.m. KST.
