BLACKPINK Wins Best In Music At 2019 Shorty Awards

BLACKPINK has just claimed the 2019 Shorty Award for Best in Music!

On May 5 local time, the girl group won the Best in Music Award for the very first time at the 11th annual Shorty Awards, which were held in New York. The yearly award ceremony honors “the best of social media” by recognizing influential artists, content creators, and brands across various social media platforms.

BLACKPINK beat out fellow finalists Harry Styles, Janelle Monae, Post Malone, Kacey Musgraves, and Mason Ramsey to snag this year’s award.

Although the group was unable to attend the ceremony due to their ongoing world tour, the members expressed their gratitude in a pre-recorded video message. Rosé remarked, “Sadly, we couldn’t make it to the show in New York because we’re currently on the North American tour, but we just wanted to say thank you, and thank you to our BLINKS as well.”
