EXID To Continue Japanese Promotions With 5 Members For Another Year
Following news that EXID’s Hani and Jeonghwa would be leaving Banana Culture Entertainment at the end of the month when their contracts expire, Banana Culture revealed in an official press release May 8 that the group will continue Japanese promotions with all five members for another year.
Here is the full statement from Banana Culture Entertainment.
This is our official statement regarding EXID’s Japanese promotions.
As we revealed in a previous statement, EXID’s Solji, LE, and Hyelin have renewed their contracts with us, starting at the end of this month. While Hani’s and Jeonghwa’s contracts are coming to an end, all five members of EXID will be participating in the group’s Japanese promotions for the next year.
Moreover, EXID’s Japanese tour ‘2019 EXID Summer Live Tour,’ which starts on August 11, will be carried out by all five members — Solji, LE, Hyelin, Hani, and Jeonghwa — as usual.
Banana Culture will give our full support to the members individual and group activities moving forward.
We ask for your support for EXID’s comeback with “ME&YOU,” as well as your encouragement and support for the five members of EXID.
Meanwhile, Banana Culture stated that EXID is not disbanding and that the agency is looking into how the members can continue promoting together the future. LE even reassured fans with a photo of the group, captioned, “Who says it’s over?”
