Wheesung Posts On Social Media After Recent Controversy

After clarifying rumors linking him to drugs, Wheesung has returned to social media.

On May 8, Wheesung posted several photos of his late father’s columbarium site. He also posted a caption that read, “I’m this honorable right in front of you, Dad. I don’t care about these pitiful people’s accusations. Dad, please give blessings for those whose hearts are more broken than mine. I’m not ashamed. Now it doesn’t matter if anyone believes [me] or not. I just do my job, see my family, and walk with my head held high like you do… I’ll be back.”

Previously on April 16, TV personality Amy took to her Instagram and revealed that a close celebrity friend had taken drugs with her and begged her to take the blame in the past. She also alleged that there was an audio recording of him sharing plans to blackmail her with sexual footage.

Netizens identified the celebrity as Wheesung, but he refuted the claims by releasing a transcript of a recording between himself, Amy, and another acquaintance. In the post, the singer cleared up the misunderstandings that led to Amy’s allegations.

Wheesung recently appeared at the 7th Korean Art and Cultural Awards on May 7 and won an award in the Record Producer category. During the ceremony, he stated, “From now on, I’ll communicate through my music.”
