Highlight's Son Dongwoon Enlists In The Military

Son Dongwoon has enlisted in the military.

On May 9, Son Dongwoon entered the Nonsan Army Recruit Training Center in South Chungcheong Province, where he will receive basic military training before officially beginning his service as a conscripted policeman.

The idol’s agency Around Us Entertainment stated, “Son Dongwoon quietly enlisted amidst farewells from his family and agency employees around 2 p.m. (KST) and promised to carry out diligent and exemplary military duties.”

The agency continued, “We ask for your understanding as we did not reveal the location nor time of Son Dongwoon’s enlistment in compliance with his wish to enlist quietly.”

Son Dongwoon is the final Highlight member to enlist in the military, following Yoon Doojoon who enlisted in August 2018, Yang Yoseob in January, and Lee Gikwang in April.

The night before his enlistment, Son Dongwoon shared photos of his new haircut on Twitter and left a handwritten letter to fans on Instagram.
