"Doctor Prisoner" Continues To Dominate Wednesday-Thursday Drama Ratings Battle
KBS 2TV’s hit drama “Doctor Prisoner” is still going strong!
On May 9, the suspenseful medical drama successfully defended its position as the most-watched drama of Wednesday and Thursday nights. According to Nielsen Korea, the latest broadcast of the show scored average viewership ratings of 12.3 percent and 14.2 percent nationwide.
MBC’s “The Banker,” which aired during the same time slot, scored average nationwide ratings of 3.6 percent and 4.6 percent. Meanwhile, SBS aired a rerun of its Friday-Saturday drama “Nokdu Flower,” which scored average ratings of 3.0 percent and 2.7 percent. (SBS will begin airing its new Wednesday-Thursday drama, “Absolute Boyfriend,” on May 15.)
Meanwhile, in the cable network realm, tvN’s “Her Private Life” scored an average nationwide rating of 2.7 percent and a peak of 3.2 percent for the night. The drama also performed well with the key demographic of viewers ages 20 to 49, with whom it scored an average of 2.1 percent and a peak of 2.6 percent.
