SF9's Rowoon And Kim Hye Yoon In Talks To Lead New Webtoon-Based Drama

SF9’s Rowoon may be starring as the lead of a new drama!

On May 10, it was reported that he received a casting offer for the new MBC drama “July Found By Chance” (literal title).

In response to the reports, his agency FNC Entertainment commented, “Rowoon is positively considering [the offer] to star in ‘July Found By Chance.’ It has not been confirmed yet.”

The drama is based on a fantasy school romance webtoon of the same name. It tells the story of students who realize that they are actually characters in a manhwa (Korean comic) and try to go against the plot of the manhwa.

It was revealed in March that Kim Hye Yoon, who gained attention for her role in “SKY Castle” is in talks to play the female lead.

Rowoon previously starred in dramas including “School 2017,” “About Time,” and “Where Stars Land,” but this will be his first leading drama role if confirmed.

“July Found By Chance” will be directed by Kim Sang Hyup, who previously worked on “The King Loves” and “Glamorous Temptation.” It is scheduled to premiere in the latter half of the year as a Wednesday-Thursday drama on MBC.
