May Boy Group Brand Reputation Rankings Announced
The Korean Business Research Institute has released brand reputation rankings for male idol groups for the month of May!
The rankings are determined every month through an analysis of big data, factoring consumer participation, media coverage, interaction, and community indexes of various boy groups. The data collected for May’s rankings were collected from April 9 to May 10.
BTS topped the rankings for the 12th consecutive month, making it an entire year since they have been at the top of the rankings. They scored a brand reputation index of 24,925,833 for May, which is an impressive 54.50 percent increase from the previous month. High-ranking phrases in the group’s keyword analysis included “Billboard,” “YouTube,” and “Jimin,” while their highest-ranking related terms included “cool,” “happy,” and “shining.” BTS’s positivity-negativity analysis for the month revealed a score of 98.75 percent positive reactions, which is also an improvement from the previous month.
Following them in second place was NU’EST, with a brand reputation index of 4,772,695. Despite a slight dip of 6.85 percent compared to the previous month, this is the highest ranking the group has achieved yet.
In third place was EXO, coming in at a brand reputation index of 3,564,879. This is a 42.93 percent decrease in comparison to the previous months’ statistics.
