Red Velvet's Joy Apologizes For Running Off Stage After Being Scared By Fireworks
Red Velvet’s Joy reassured fans following an unexpected situation during an outdoor performance.
On May 11, Joy took to the group’s Instagram and posted selfies along with a personal note.
She wrote, “Luvies, I’m posting because I want to say I’m sorry. I’m scared of fireworks after seeing a firework explode right in front of me in the past and it was unexpected. On top of that, I heard ringing in my ears and I went in without saying my final goodbye to you.. I’m sorry.. I’m okay now! I’m so sorry for causing you concern.. I want to do a good job at every performance and dislike myself when I can’t react professionally to unexpected moments.. I will strongly prepare myself and work hard so that this won’t happen again in the future! I’m sorry.”
Earlier the same day, Red Velvet had performed at the 2019 Iseul Live Festival. In a fantaken video, fireworks went off right after the girl group’s performance and Joy appeared visibly startled by the noise. She covered her ears, ran to the side of the stage, and was comforted by staff and her members.
