Park Hae Mi Announces Divorce From Husband Following His Drunk Driving Incident

Park Hae Mi has decided to part ways with her husband after 25 years of marriage.

On May 14, Park Hae Mi’s legal representative Song Sang Yeob stated, “It is true that Park Hae Mi and Hwang Min decided to get divorced by mutual agreement on May 10. Both parties amicably agreed to the divorce. They also agreed that no further detail [about the divorce] should be revealed by either one of the parties.”

Last August, Hwang Min drove a car into a 25-ton truck that was parked on the side of the road, resulting in the deaths of two passengers. At the time, his blood alcohol level was 0.104 percent, which is high enough to have his license revoked. Hwang Min is currently serving a prison sentence of four years and six months for violating the Act on Special Cases concerning the Settlement of Traffic Accidents.

Immediately after the accident, Park Hae Mi suspended all activities and later donated her performance fees.
