Minah Clarifies Girl's Day's Status After Members Joined New Agencies
SBS’s “Absolute Boyfriend” held a press conference on May 15, and this is Girl’s Day member Minah’s first drama in three years since the drama “Dear Fair Lady Kong Shim” in 2016.
When a reporter asked her to describe how she feels about taking on her first project after Girl’s Day’s “disbandment,” she commented, “Girl’s Day has not disbanded. We can get together at any time.”
She added, “I feel a little different presenting myself to viewers after filming ‘Absolute Boyfriend’ than I did before. However, rather than it being different than when I was with Girl’s Day, I think it’s a feeling I have because I’m worrying about how and in which direction I should continue to grow.”
This year, each of the Girl’s Day members joined a new agency after the expiration of their contracts with Dream T Entertainment. Minah signed with Yooborn Entertainment in March.
“Absolute Boyfriend” is a romantic comedy that tells the story of Zero-Nine (played by Yeo Jin Goo), a humanoid robot built to become the ideal boyfriend; Uhm Da Da (played by Girl’s Day’s Minah), a special effects makeup artist who has grown hard-hearted after being wounded by love; and Ma Wang Joon (played by Hong Jong Hyun), an arrogant but soft-hearted top star who goes through a heartache after a break-up.
“Absolute Boyfriend” premiered on May 15.
