Roy Kim To Graduate From Georgetown As Scheduled, Agency Responds
According to a report by SPOTV News, it has been confirmed that Roy Kim will be graduating from Georgetown as scheduled on May 15, although he is not attending the graduation ceremony.
Roy Kim, who had been residing in the United States to attend Georgetown, returned to Korea on April 9 after he was booked on suspicions of spreading illegally taken footage of women in the group chatroom with Jung Joon Young. He later admitted to sharing photos downloaded from the internet in the chatroom, but not filming any photos or videos.
Georgetown has a strict code of conduct for its students, and though there had been speculation that Roy Kim would not be able to graduate due to the current criminal investigations, no disciplinary action was taken by the school, likely due to the fact that the Korean investigations have yet to reach a conclusion.
In response to the news, a source from Roy Kim’s agency said to OSEN, “Roy Kim is currently in Korea reflecting on his actions, and it’s true that he is not attending the graduation ceremony.”
Regarding the question of Roy Kim’s graduation, the source said, “Roy Kim was diligent in his studies, and he did his best this last semester as well. Whether or not he graduates is the school’s decision.”
