BLACKPINK's "Boombayah" Becomes 1st K-Pop Debut MV In History To Hit 600 Million Views
BLACKPINK has just made YouTube history with their debut music video!
Shortly after 7:20 a.m. KST on May 23, BLACKPINK’s music video for “BOOMBAYAH” officially surpassed 600 million views on YouTube, making it the first K-pop debut music video in history to achieve the feat.
BLACKPINK also currently holds the record for the fastest K-pop group music video to hit the 600 million mark (their music video for “DDU-DU DDU-DU” took less than seven months to reach the milestone). “BOOMBAYAH” is also only the third K-pop group music video ever to surpass 600 million views, following BTS’s “DNA” and BLACKPINK’s “DDU-DU DD-DU.”
Congratulations to BLACKPINK on their impressive achievement!
