Ma Dong Seok's Agency Clarifies His Comments About Upcoming Marriage Plans

Ma Dong Seok’s agency issued a statement about the actor’s marriage plans.

On May 23, Ma Dong Seok attended the 72nd Cannes Film Festival for his film “The Gangster, The Cop, The Devil.”

At the event, the actor told reporters, “I want to get married next year.” Ma Dong Seok and Ye Jung Hwa have been in a public relationship since November 2016, and the two celebrities are currently signed to the same agency.

When it was reported that Ma Dong Seok would be getting married to Ye Jung Hwa next year, his agency explained, “A question about his marriage came up at a casual setting with reporters at Cannes, and he said that he wanted to get married as quickly as possible, even next year. He was not speaking about specific wedding plans.”

The agency continued, “Ma Dong Seok is currently continuing his good relationship with Ye Jung Hwa. We would like to state that their marriage has not been confirmed, and it will be announced through official channels when confirmed. Thank you so much for your interest and support.”

Ye Jung Hwa is a former strength coach for a U.S. football team and TV personality who isn’t promoting at this time. She and Ma Dong Seok became close through their mutual interest in exercise.

Ma Dong Seok’s film “The Gangster, The Cop, The Devil” premiered on May 15 and recently surpassed 2 million moviegoers.
