Watch: "Produce X 101" Trainees Prepare For First Elimination Ceremony In Teaser For Next Episode

Mnet’s “Produce X 101” will soon eliminate its first round of trainees.

Of the 101 trainees on the show, only the top 60 will make it through to the next round. As one trainee points out in the preview, “Basically half of us will be eliminated here.”

As might be expected for the first elimination ceremony, tensions and emotions are running high in the teaser for the upcoming episode. The trainees speculate about who might be ranked No. 1, with one trainee commenting about an unnamed person, “Isn’t he basically almost debuting? Because of his accumulated points.” Another trainee says, “I think there might be a lot of change [in the rankings].”

The trainees also express concern about their own positions, saying things like, “My father helped distribute cards with my name on it, so if I get eliminated,” “I think this is going to become a sea of tears,” and “It was fun while it lasted.”

As typical of previous elimination ceremonies in the “Produce” series, it looks as if the upcoming episode will draw out the tension until the end, saving the 60th place reveal for last.
