Choi Kang Hee In Talks To Star In Upcoming Action Comedy Drama
Choi Kang Hee may be making her small screen comeback!
It was recently reported that the actress would be starring in upcoming SBS drama “Miss Casting” (literal title). In response to the reports, her agency stated, “Choi Kang Hee has received an offer for ‘Miss Casting’ and is reviewing it.” If she accepts, it will be her first drama comeback in a year since “Queen of Mystery 2.”
“Miss Casting” is an action comedy about middle-aged women who have barely kept their jobs in the National Intelligence Service (NIS), and a coincidental job transfer that makes them undercover agents.
Choi Kang Hee has ben offered the role of Baek Chan Mi, also known by her false name Baek Jang Mi. A legendary black ops agent, she is extremely skilled but has a terrible personality. Also formerly the youngest team leader ever, she was the person her juniors avoided the most. However, she was transferred to the NIS’s cyber security team after an excessive strategy led to the death of a subordinate and a criminal slipping away. She currently works under the ID “Super Tandoori Chicken,” uploading an average of 250 comments every day. Though she has given up on the hope that she would return to the field, she is suddenly dispatched to the field one day.
The drama will be directed by producing director Choi Young Hoon, who previously headed dramas such as “Sister Is Alive” and “High Society.” It will be written by Park Ji Ha, who won an Excellence Award at MBC’s scriptwriting contest in 2016.
“Miss Casting” is slated to air in the latter half of the year.
