Watch: "The Secret Life Of My Secretary" Set Is Filled With Kim Young Kwang And Jin Ki Joo's Laughter
SBS’s “The Secret Life of My Secretary” has released a video of Kim Young Kwang and Jin Ki Joo being playful behind the scenes.
The romantic comedy tells the love story of cold-hearted boss Do Min Yik (played by Kim Young Kwang) who has facial blindness, and his secretary Jung Gal Hee (played by Jin Ki Joo) who leads a double life.
The video begins with Kim Young Kwang and Jin Ki Joo walking alongside each other. Suddenly, the director points out, “Hold on. Aren’t you guys walking too fast? You’re not supposed to walk so fast in romantic comedies.” Jin Ki Joo laugh at the joke, and the two lead actors go back to the starting line. This time, they walk playfully slowly, as if they’re robots moving in slow-motion.
Next, the two of them film a scene in the rain where Kim Young Kwang gazes deeply into Jin Ki Joo’s eyes. Fake rain starts to fall, and he gently shakes the raindrops off her bag. Once the scene is complete, they move on with the director’s shout of satisfaction, and the two actors laugh at her triumphant remark.
In the next scene where Kim Young Kwang is mistaken as a pervert for wearing tight stockings, Jin Ki Joo has to cover up the bottom half of his body with her signature red cardigan. They have to film the scene multiple times due to their unstoppable laughter. A crew member comments that Kim Young Kwang looks like a ballerina, and the actor wittily twirls around with his arms gracefully over his head. When the scene is done, Kim Young Kwang shyly says, “I’ll be going home for the day.”
The final scene they film is the one where Jin Ki Joo cuts Kim Young Kwang’s stockings off for him. She attempts to explain to him about how to shimmy out of the stockings, and at his childish shouts to look away, she can’t help but break into an amused chuckle. Then he strikes a pose with his legs stretched out in a coy manner, and she laughs as she asks him, “Are you a mermaid?”
