Watch: "Produce X 101" Gives Glimpse Of Position Evaluation Performances And Conflict In Preview

“Produce X 101” has shared a preview for the trainees’ next challenge!

The Top 60 contestants were announced in last week’s episode and all other trainees were sent home. In the June 7 episode, the remaining contestants will take on their next task: the position evaluation.

In the new preview for the episode, host Lee Dong Wook explains, “This is the position evaluation that will determine who survives and who is eliminated. This isn’t a case of ‘We’re a team but it’s an individual competition.’ This is completely an individual competition.”

Last week, the show revealed the songs that the trainees will be performing for the evaluation.

As clips are shown of the trainees reacting to the announcement and also beginning practice for their songs, they’re heard saying, “It’s okay to be ambitious,” “I want to be the center,” and “[I thought] ‘I’d better be the main vocal.'” There is also some conflict shown as the teams struggle during their practice.

Dance trainer Choi Young Joon also tells a team, “It looks cheap, I don’t want to watch that.” Vocal trainers Lee Seok Hoon and Shin Yoo Mi tell a group, “That was chaotic” and “I don’t know what I’m watching.” Shin Yoo Mi also calls out the name of trainee Koo Jung Mo during practice, and rap trainer Cheetah says, “Are you going to do it like that on stage?”

Shots of several of the contestants on stage are shown, revealing their looks and concepts for their performances. The preview ends with UP10TION’s Lee Jin Hyuk in a practice room expressing concern over how to guide his team.
