Trainees Eliminated From 'Produce X 101' Share Letters About Their Experience

The contestants who recently bid farewell to Mnet’s “Produce X 101” shared their final thoughts.

On the May 31 episode, the idol survival show held its first ranking ceremony where the Top 60 contestants were revealed and others were eliminated.

Four trainees from Urban Works departed the show. Hong Sung Hyen began, “To National Producers. Hello! This is Urban Works’s Hong Sung Hyen. First, thank you so much and I really love the National Producers for making me this happy and cheering for me! While filming ‘Produce X 101,’ I was happy that I was able to meet good friends and compete. Thanks to the National Producers who looked favorably on me, I was overjoyed that I was able to stand on the stage of ‘M Countdown.’ I learned many things and learned more about the value of desperation. Thank you to the many staff members, our CEO, and the teachers for helping me meet the National Producers. I feel regretful because there were more things I wanted to show you, but I’ll make sure to show you all of them, so please remember Hong Sung Hyen. I’ll return quickly! The ones who are left are also amazing, so please support them a lot. Thank you so much and let’s meet again!”

Byeon Seong Tae said, “Hello National Producers. I’m Urban Works’s trainee Seong Tae, not Byeon Tae [which sounds like the Korean word for weirdo]. I wanted to show you many more good appearances, and I just feel sorry that I wasn’t able to do so. Thank you always for giving me support and love even when I’m lacking. I’ll work harder from here on out and pull myself together so that I can see you quickly with a better appearance. Please always keep me, Byeon Seong Tae, in a small corner of your mind. I’ll become someone who never loses his humility and roots, and always works hard. I love you, I love you, I love you. From Sung Tae.”

Kim Dong Kyu said, “To National Producers. Hello National Producers, I’m Urban Works’s trainee Kim Dong Kyu. Thank you so much to the National Producers who supported me until now. It’s only been a couple of months since I became a trainee, so ‘Produce X 101’ was a dreamlike place for me. I think that I received love from the National Producers because of ‘X1-MA’ and ‘Dramarama’ which I worked hard at preparing. Thanks to the National Producers, I gained strength and became more eager for my dream. I’ll work harder in the future so that I can perform in front of the National Producers. Thank you for supporting me on the show until now and please wait a little more until we meet again. I love you National Producers. From Urban Works’s trainee Kim Dong Kyu.”

Thank you so much to those who gave me lots of interest and love while I appeared on the program ‘Produce X 101.’ It was an unforgettable experience for me. I grew through this opportunity, my dream as an artist became broader, and I think that it served as a foundation for my dream to grow into a big tree. I’m practicing day and night to show the National Producers more of me, so I want to see you with a good song and appearance! This isn’t the end of my challenge but a stepping stone for my beginning, so I ask for lots of your love from here on out as well. Finally, to the Urban Works family who always works hard, I love you!

MBK Entertainment’s Kim Yeong Sang said, “Hello! IT’s MBK trainee Kim Yeong Sang. I was really happy I could say hello to you for the first time through my appearance on ‘Produce X 101.’ First, I was able to have a joyful time thanks to the National Producers who cheered for me. Although I’m upset I can’t participate on ‘Produce X 101’ after last week’s episode, I’ll use this opportunity to practice harder and become a Yeong Sang who can see you with a more developed, mature appearance. Also, thank you to the staff members who gave lots of support and meaningful chance to the ‘Dejavu’ team’s Kim Seung Hwan, Kim Min Seo, Choi Byung Hoon, Kim Jun Jae, and Lim Da Hun. I was happy. Also, please give lots of love to MBK Entertainment trainees Lee Han Gyul and Nam Do Hyon! They are really kind and diligent friends. I’ll cheer up to see you soon. Please wait for me! I sincerely thank the National Producers once again who cheered for me until now!”

Gost Agency’s Yun Hyun Jo shared photos of him from the show. He wrote, “Hello. I’m Yun Hyun Jo who participated on ‘Produce X 101.’ Thank you to my parents, friends, acquaintances, and agency employees who cheered for me a lot during this long and short time, as well as the CEO who created this opportunity for me, team leader, manager, and everyone! Because of my quiet personality where I can’t express myself a lot, there are occasionally times where people have misunderstandings about me. But I really wanted to say thank you to each and every person, and I was really moved through this opportunity. I was so so thankful to Lee Sang Ho, friends in X class, Song Hyeong Jun, Baek Jin, and ‘Blood Sweat & Tears’ friends who took especially good care of me. And of course, thank you to the National Producers who gave me lots of their interest and cheered hard. (Even in really difficult situations, I gained a lot of strength… I want to reply to each and every person and I’m sorry that I’m thanking you with this kind of official post). I’m so sorry that I had regretful results despite your support. I’ll now return to my everyday life and prepare hard for various promotions. I want to show you better appearances and more me-like appearances! (I won’t ever let you down!) Please look forward to it a lot! I thank you once again and I love you.”

He added, “Trainees Song Hyeong Jun, Kim Min Kyu, Baek Jin, Park Yun Sol, Moon Hyun Bin, Lee Won Jun, Koo Jung Mo, Kim Hyeon Bin, and more who will go up even more now. There isn’t a lot of time left now so gain a little more strength!”

Gost Agency’s Lee Sang Ho posted behind-the-scenes photos from the show. He said, “Hello, it’s Lee Sang Ho. First, I want to say thank you so much. I had a dreamlike time. It was difficult and I was tired, but they were also moments that will be in my memory forever and I was happy. All of the great X Class members really showed me love and it feels like yesterday when we were together and cheering each other on. But the first ranking ceremony already happened and I felt so sad about the time for saying goodbyes. And our ‘No More Dream’ team. Our team members suffered a lot because of me who couldn’t dance. I feel sorry and thankful. Our team thankfully won first place in the X Battle and got to stand on stage on ‘M Countdown.’ I don’t think I’ll be able to forget that feeling of nervousness!  And my family, I love you so so much and I feel sorry that you suffered a lot because of your son. And our Aejangdan friends! And thank you so much to everyone who cheered for me! I’ll challenge myself with many things now so please look forward to It and support me a lot. Thank you so much.”

He added, “Our ‘No More Dream’ team, I always felt sorry when learning the dance and I really thank you for helping me to make unforgettable memories. Our X Class members Song Hyeong Jun, Koo Jung Mo, Kim Min Kyu, Kang Min Hee, Lee Yoo Jin, Kim Jin Gon, Han Gi Chan, and Kim Seung Hwan. Thank you so much for listening to me, stop crying, and I’ll cheer for you a lot. Baek Jin, my dance teacher, I really thank you. And Hyun Jo, you worked hard. Finally, I’ll cheer on all of the trainees!”

NEST Management’s Oh Sae Bom stated, “I sincerely thank everyone who endlessly supported NEST’s Oh Sae Bom on ‘Produce X 101’! I’ll try my best to see you again with a better appearance.”

Individual trainee Lee Ha Min shared a handwritten letter and selfies. He said, “To National Producers. Hello National Producers, I’m Individual Trainee Lee Ha Min! I still have many lacking things and have many things to improve, but I won’t forget the amazing support you gave my lacking self. When I first gained the chance to tell the world about myself, I felt really scared and nervous. There’s nothing really outstanding about me, so I was really nervous and fearful when I first met the National Producers. When I didn’t see any reactions, I was really disappointed in myself. But seeing the slowly increasing reactions and comments, I gained strength and was also thankful for malicious comments. As much as the National Producers supported me and gave me strength, I won’t give up and will work hard to see you again with a good appearance. I’ll be thankful if you didn’t forget about me and continued to cheer for me. Your jukebox who won’t ever give up! Attack on Melon! I’ll grow into artist Lee Ha Min who gives you a sweet lullaby at night and comforts you after a tiring day! I sincerely thank everyone who cheered for me once again. Please be healthy and happy, everyone.”
