MBC's "Music Core" Announces Upgrades To Chart System And Show Format
MBC’s “Music Core” has announced new changes to their system.
Last week, “Music Core” previewed the changes that will come to the show with the introduction of a new logo and layout. They plan to incorporate various different charts to their show to evolve into a more objective and reliable music ranking program.
From June 8, “Music Core” will feature a new ranking chart of the top five videos of the week, based on video views on portal sites. Based on their upgraded chart system, they will also shed light on songs from various genres that are being loved by the public.
The music program will also be introducing special stages to their program that bring more variety to the show. For example, the upcoming June 8 episode will feature a performance by Kwon In Ha, who will be performing on “Music Core” for the first time since making his debut 35 years ago. He is currently popular on YouTube amongst people in their twenties and thirties, with over 210,000 subscribers and amassing almost 3.5 million views on his most-watched video. He will be covering Davichi’s “Unspoken Words,” which is nominated for first place this week.
“Music Core” airs every Saturday at 3:35 p.m. KST.
